Coming to Blackball from a long time playing World rules , i was wondering , can you be total snookered by the cushion as you couldn't in world rules ....ie if the cushion wasn't there could you clip an edge of a ball on |

5g SNOOKERS A player is in a snooker when it is impossible to hit any part of any ball ‘on’ by way of a straight line shot. In this situation the player need only cause the cue ball to contact a ball ‘on’, to execute a legal shot. A player does not have to pot a ball or cause the cue ball or another ball to contact a cushion once he has escaped from the snooker. OK so I have made a number of calls to clarify the ruling on this one. two of the most senior referees in Blackball. Mel Harley & John Attridge It is not the same as World Rules. Mel & John gave me exactly the same ruling that I posted firstly ( 5G Snookers) if you cannot hit your own object ball by way of a straight line then its a total snooker cushions are not excluded like in World Rules.
