 Touching ball as result of a foul.

I have always wondered about this one, if a foul is committed and as a result leaves the cue ball touching a ball on, can the player request the white ball to be moved into baulk as would normally be an available option?? I ask as under normal circumstances when we simply play away from a ball on which cue ball is touching, as the cue ball leaves the ball it is touching that classes as the legal contact needed for the shot! So surely by moving said cue ball by hand to baulk the same principal applies and this classes as contact but by hand????? |

Cue ball must be struck by the tip of the cue for a legal shot to be deemed to be played . There will be a rule to reference, I'm sure |
