Message from the Chairman
LAUNCH OF THE NEW WEBSITE AT SELSEY 2018
www.ebpf.uk
The National county finals 2018 is here again, and the introduction of (PoolAppLive) will be at the said National Finals, we will be using the PoolAppLive alongside the normal practise we operate when recording results at the county finals, we will be using (PoolAppLive) to give our members the opportunity to know how it operates ready for the new season ahead.
Every county match next season (PoolAppLive) will be in operation, and devices such as Phone/Androids/Tablet can only be used to record your results, all of course will be live scoring across all regions and updating as you play. We will be encouraging you to still operate with paperback as a backup, as we all know technology can go wrong.
Please can all our county mangers please sign up to the new website,www.ebpf.uk and follow the on-screen instructions to be registered for the new website. Please can you communicate with your members and get them to sign up to the new website.
Please ensure everyone who has a caravan at Selsey take photos of any damage after the initial inspection, and ensure you take photos when you leave. This year someone will be staying down Selsey a few days extra to ensure if damage does occur and Bunn Leisure want to charge you for it, then photos will be taken so proof of damage has been agreed by both parties. It is the responsibility of all counties to ensure players/spectators behave accordingly whist representing there said county.
The potential the new website gives us as an organisation will be a welcome addition to our organisation and will assist counties across all regions, less work for our county managers, your match sheet, your stats will instantly be recorded and updated.
Signing on players this season will be easy, you will be able to sign on any player right up to the start of the game, register on the website and make your payment and the said player becomes registered to your county.
Points being deducted for late sheets can be a thing of the past, Like I have said the potential of the new website looks good for us as an organisation, because we do not want to see teams lose points, when an oversight occurs.
I will be adding John Clavey into this thread because he is the expert, and if you have a question regarding the new website on operational issues, then he would be happy to assist.
Selsey fixtures have been uploaded onto the new website and is ready for your perusal:
Andy Johnson will also be at selsey with the big screen again working on keeping everybody informed with results and will be working alongside Maria Lewis and John Clavey ensuring we are all updated with all matches and league tables.
CARAVANS
Please ensure everyone who has a caravan at selsey take photos of any damage after the initial inspection, and ensure you take photos when you leave. This year someone will be staying down Selsey a few days extra to ensure if damage does occur and Bunn Leisure want to charge you for it, then photos will be taken so proof of damage has been agreed by both parties. It is the responsibility of all counties to ensure players/spectators behave accordingly whist representing there said county.
SUPPORTING YOUR TEAM
Last year we had many teams with multiple squads who made the final and when supporting your county the said county was overcrowding the arena, and this year we have the same problem with multiple squads, we expect counties who are not playing to use the balcony when supporting your said team within your county, we get the fact you want to support, and we do not want to hinder that, but some counties try to cram everyone in, and it is not fair on teams who cannot support their own players within a squad when in live play. Referees will be monitoring and actioning such problems if they arise.
WEATHER
We cannot predict this and who knows what the weather will be like in a few days, we hope all will go smoothly, and will only address if it arises, with extreme conditions. And action accordingly.
I would like to personally thank John/Andy/Maria on ensuring we deliver the very best tournament for all you guys with the correct information.
Whatever happens with results over the weekend with your said team, please have a great time enjoy the atmosphere and most of all be respectful to your opponents.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the representatives for the hard work all year round and our organisation really appreciates all the effort put into making us operate as a whole.
On behalf of the National Committee and the Executive Committee.
